Walker man arrested, accused of raping child, police say
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — An investigation by the Walker Police Department led to the arrest of a Walker man.
Marc A. Rager Sr., 66, was arrested on charges of first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 13, crimes against nature and carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Rager was initially charged with one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and one count of felony crimes against nature.
Rager was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center July 27 after Walker PD got a complaint that he had allegedly sexually abused his 13-year-old minor granddaughter the previous day, according to a news release.
“After insuring Rager was locked up and off the street, our detectives pursued the investigation and learned that the suspect allegedly began sexually abusing his granddaughter in 2022,” said Walker Police Chief David Addison.
