BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — BRProud is providing full coverage of Hurricane Francine as it moves into the Baton Rouge area on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
The storm hit Louisiana around 5 p.m. as a Category 2 storm with 100-mph winds. Over the next hour, it quickly slowed to a Category 1 storm by approximately 10 mph winds.
The system is expected to move over the capital overnight and move into Mississippi by early Thursday.
