How to watch the Harris-Trump presidential debate

Presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will face each other on the stage for the first time in a highly anticipated debate with just under eight weeks to go until the election.

It's the only scheduled debate between the vice president and the former president as of now, so the event in Philadelphia could potentially could be the only one between the Democratic and Republican nominees ahead of November's election.

The primetime event on Tuesday also marks the first presidential debate since President Joe Biden's disastrous showing against Trump in June. The fallout resulted in Biden dropping out of the race and Harris becoming the Democratic nominee.

Here's how to watch the Harris-Trump debate.

What time is the debate on?

The 90-minute event begins on Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. ET at the National Constitution Center in the center of Philadelphia's historical district.

Where can you watch the debate?

The event is being hosted by ABC News, so it will be live on ABC while also streaming on ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu.

NBC, CNBC, and MSNBC will also be carrying the debate live along with CNN, CBS, Fox News, and PBS.

Who are the moderators?

ABC "World News Tonight” anchor David Muir and “ABC News Live Prime” anchor Linsey Davis will be the moderators.

What are the debate rules?

There will be no live audience at the event. Each candidate’s microphone will be muted while the other one is speaking.

Also, candidates are also not allowed to have written notes with them, and moderators are the only ones allowed to ask questions.

What are some storylines to watch for?

Trump's ability to keep his composure and how Harris handles Trump's taunts will be monitored closely, along with whether Trump will make an attempt to appeal to voters beyond his core constituency.

Here are three things to watch, according to NBC News.

Are there any other debates coming up?

There are no more scheduled debates between Trump and Harris, but there is one more debate on the calendar.

A vice presidential debate between Ohio Sen. JD Vance and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will take place on Oct. 1 in New York City, hosted by CBS News.
