ELMIRA, N.Y. (WIVB/WETM) — Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy and Democratic candidate Tom Carle will face off in a debate at 7 p.m. tonight (Thursday, Oct. 10) ahead of next month’s election to represent New York’s 23rd Congressional District.

Langworthy is campaigning for another term as the 23rd District’s representative after being elected in 2022, when he defeated democratic candidate Max Della Pia in the general election and Carl Paladino in the primary. Carle looks to enter the political arena as the Twin Tier’s voice in Congress. Carle is a retired plant manager for food and beverage manufacturers and a former human resources manager.
Who are the candidates in the upcoming NY 23 Congressional race?
New York’s 23rd congressional district includes eastern and southern Erie County, as well Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Steuben, Schuyler and Chemung counties. Its largest cities are Jamestown and Elmira.
Election Day is Nov. 5.
