Watch Nikki Haley's speech at the Republican National Convention

Former ambassador to the United Nations and Republican primary challenger Nikki Haley took the podium at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Monday to throw her support behind Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Haley said that the Republican nominee invited her to speak in the name of, "unity." Haley appealed to her supporters that may be reticent to support Trump.

"You don't have to agree with Trump 100% of the time to vote for him," Haley said. "Take it from me, I haven't always agreed with President Trump."

Haley was a fierce Trump critic during the primary and did not immediately endorse Trump when she dropped out of the race in March.

"We all need to acknowledge that it is time for a new generation of leader," Haley said in response to a question about comments made by Donald Trump in reference to Israel at a USA TODAY town hall in October. "We have to leave the negativity, the chaos and the baggage of the past."

Haley railed against Biden's age, foreign policy and border policy.

The Republican National Convention is in Milwaukee through Thursday where former President Donald Trump on Thursday will formally accept the party’s nomination for the 2024 Election.
