What to Watch Tuesday: An ABC special on George Michael, plus Christmas movies
Die Hard (8 p.m., Paramount) - For those of you who insist this 1988 Bruce Willis action film is a Christmas movie: New York policeman (Willis) outwits foreign thugs holding his wife (Bonnie Bedelia) and others in a Los Angeles high-rise (during a Christmas party). It repeats at 10 p.m.
Saying Yes to Christmas (8 p.m., Lifetime) - In this new Lifetime movie, a magical Christmas wish makes a career-obsessed woman say “yes” to every invitation while she’s home for the holidays. However, past feelings get reignited when an old flame joins her hectic schedule of yuletide activities.
Christmas CEO (8 p.m., Hallmark) - In this 2021 movie, the CEO of a small toy company gets a once-in-a-lifetime offer to merge with a much bigger company — but needs her estranged ex-business partner’s signature to seal the deal.
A Chestnut Family Christmas (9 p.m., OWN) - In this new movie, a talented pastry chef accidentally commits to hosting her family for the holidays, so she poses as a wealthy homeowner in order to impress them.
Superstar: George Michael (10 p.m., ABC) - ABC News looks at the life and career of legendary pop star George Michael. The special will examine how he reinvented himself from a teenage heartthrob to a global superstar, and features interviews with Sam Smith, Paula Abdul and others who worked with Michael and were influenced by his music.
