WATCH: Vigil remembers boy, 7, killed in hit-and-run
CLEVELAND (WJW) — More than 100 family members and friends gathered in a parking lot on Lakeshore Boulevard Monday night to remember the life of 7-year-old Amir Prewitt.
“He had a great smile, dimples and was athletic. He could run at the speed of light if you let him,” said his mother Rayshawnda Maclin.

His mother said Amir loved sports and Spider-Man, and was heading into second grade.
On Friday night, Amir was skateboarding in the parking lot when a black Mercedes SUV hit him and then took off.
Police found the SUV on Saturday, abandoned near East 174th Street and St. Clair Avenue.
They are still searching for the driver.

“My message would be: ‘You all killed my baby, dragged him through this parking lot and didn’t stop. Turn yourself in,” said Maclin.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Cleveland police.
