Airing tonight on CBS and other major cable channels, the 90-minute debate will be moderated by CBS Evening News anchor and managing editor Norah O’Donnell and Face the Nation moderator and chief foreign affairs correspondent Margaret Brennan. Like the Sept. 10 presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, the event will not include a live audience.

While microphones were only turned on for the candidate directly answering the question during the Sept. 10 presidential debate, both mics will be on during the entirety of this VP debate. CBS News does, however, reserve the right to mute the candidates’ microphones if deemed appropriate.
