New website shows New Orleans residents road closures ahead of Super Bowl LIX
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Greater New Orleans, Inc. has announced that a new website has been launched to help keep city residents aware of road closures in New Orleans’ Entertainment District in preparation for Super Bowl LIX.
According to Greater New Orleans Inc., the website will allow residents to get information about major road closures, infrastructure updates, areas impacted by construction, estimated completion dates for projects, identify agency owners responsible for projects and an interactive map.

A news release states the new website aims “to provide a quick and easy way for residents to see which roads are currently closed or partially closed at any given time.”
“This new resource ensures that residents are well-informed about ongoing construction projects and their impact on daily commutes,” said President and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. and State Coordinator for Infrastructure and Economic Development for the Super Bowl Michael Hecht.

Greater New Orleans, Inc. officials said agencies including the Department of Public Works, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Sewerage and Water Board, the Department of Parks and Parkways, the City of New Orleans, the Downtown Development District, the Department of Sanitation and the French Quarter Management District are working on “Summer of Super Bowl” projects.
They said these projects include sidewalk repair, street paving, light installation, drainage repair and more.
