Parish officials said the swamp-themed spray park includes more than 25 water features, 12 benches, six sail shades outdoor restrooms, a parking lot and a path that connects the spray park to the Veterans Memorial Plaza and Edward A. Dufresne Community Center.
Parish leaders said the West Bank Spray Park is the first spray park on the parish’s West Bank and is similar to the Ormond Spray Park in Destrehan.
They said the funding for the $2.2 million spray park came from the 29th Judicial District Court Community Benefit Fund, the Louisiana Department of Treasury and local funds.
