Whatcha' gonna do Republicans? Watch Hulk Hogan address RNC
Terry Boella, better known as Hulk Hogan, stepped to the microphone at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee as a part of a cadre of professional wrestling and combat sports figures tasked with introducing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Boella, in character, gave a wrestling promo saying, "all the Trumpites will be running wild for four years," and ripping off his shirt to reveal a Trump-Vance campaign tank top.
Boella — saying he stopped the character — gave a full-throated endorsement of Trump , repeating talking points on inflation, border policy and crime that have been threaded throughout the convention.
Audio tape of Boella repeatedly calling a then romantic partner of his daughter a racial slur surfaced in 2015, causing World Wrestling Entertainment to temporarily distance themselves from their landmark star.
The Republican National Convention is in Milwaukee through Thursday where former President Donald Trump on Thursday will formally accept the party’s nomination for the 2024 Election.
USA TODAY and the USA TODAY Network have more than 60 journalists on the ground in Milwaukee and you can follow along with our live blog for updates throughout the day.
