What's the Buzz: Joe Nichols performs in Beallsville and the Brewhouse celebrates one year
Pick any one of the events happening in and around the area to keep your week busy. I’ll be highlighting attractions, activities and festivals right here, every week. From local music and shows to options for those of you who don’t mind traveling a bit, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to check all activities, as cancellations can occur. The events listed are for July 20 to 29.

Outback Motorsports July Pull. Make the scenic drive to Beallsville for a weekend of fun. Gates open at noon on Friday with a demolition derby taking place at 5 p.m. Live music from Taylor Jo and the Copper Creek Band is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., with Joe Nichols rounding out the day. Stick around on Saturday when gates open up at 11 a.m. There will be a truck pull with the Southeastern Ohio Pulling Series at 3 pm. Watch trucks, tractors and more pull weight to see who can go the furthest. Travis Denning is slated to perform at 7:30 p.m. and, once again, headlining for our area will be Neal McCoy. Tickets are $50 for Friday night, $60 for Saturday, or $100 for the weekend and can be purchased by visiting www.tix.com. For more information email [email protected]. Events around town
Guernsey Brewhouse one-year anniversary celebration. Stop down anytime from 1 to 10 p.m. on Saturday to celebrate. Enjoy Smoke Therapy Barbeque and live music from Matt Shannon, Levi Jameson and Chandler Carter. Drawings will be held throughout the event. Quarter Auction. Raise a paddle and raise some money for Guernsey County Habitat for Humanity on Saturday. Doors will open at 10 a.m. with the auction starting at 10:30 a.m. Bid on items from local businesses. There is a $5 admission charge, which includes one paddle. Wanted - Bon Jovi Tribute Band. If your heart still beats for hair bands, head to The Barn on Sunday night for Bon Jovi hits. The opening act for the night is Fluz Acoustic, taking the stage at 4 p.m. Wanted is set to perform at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 when purchased in advance, and $25 at the door. 71st annual Caldwell Fireman's Festival. Three days of fun, food and good times in Caldwell. Events are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27 through Saturday, July 29.
