Where to get free water, ice while power’s out

(WJW) — Fourteen Giant Eagle locations across Northeast Ohio are teaming with FirstEnergy to give out free water and ice to the more than 250,000 electric customers who are still without power following Tuesday’s storms, which spawned several tornadoes.

The giveaway starts at 5 p.m. on Thursday and will continue until supplies run out or Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the latest — the day most communities should have the lights back on, based on the latest estimations from the utility.
