With just five days until the general election on Nov. 5, the presidential race is coming down to the wire.

The 2024 contest for the White House remains in a dead heat between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, with a Tuesday Reuters/Ipsos poll showing the Democrat leading by just 44% to 43% among registered voters nationally, well within the poll’s margin of error.

Leaving nothing to chance in the final stretch of the campaign, both candidates will be in Arizona on Thursday to shore up support in the battleground state. The vice president will host a rally in Phoenix with music guest Los Tigres del Norte, while the former president and Tucker Carlson will host a “hurricane relief benefit” in Glendale.

Election 2024 live updates: Trump, Harris both rally voters in campaign's final days; latest polls

Arizona is a must-win for both campaigns, given that President Joe Biden defeated Trump by the smallest margin in the country four years ago, winning by fewer than 11,000 votes, according to the Arizona Republic, part of the USA TODAY network.

The vice president will then travel to Las Vegas to join Jennifer Lopez and Maná in reaching out to undecided Latino voters, according to the Harris-Walz campaign.

Lopez, who is Puerto Rican, is expected to talk about the importance of voting and why she and other high-profile Latinos, including Ricky Martin and Bad Bunny, endorsed Harris. Her comments follow a comic’s joke comparing the U.S. territory to a “floating island of garbage” at Trump’s rally in New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

Gov. Walz will travel to Bucks County and Erie, Pennsylvania on Thursday and return to Michigan on Friday to campaign in Detroit, Flint, and Traverse City.

Both Harris and Trump will return to the Badger State on Friday with dueling rallies in Milwaukee, reports the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal.

On the final weekend before Election Day, Harris is expected to return to Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday to hold one final rally in the Peachtree State before heading to Charlotte, North Carolina, on the last day of early voting in the state before Nov. 5.
