Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, are down to the final week of campaigning before Nov. 5.
Polls show the rival candidates are neck-and-neck in the battleground states — Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina — that will determine the winner of the presidential election. Both Harris' and Trump's campaigns are not leaving anything to chance in hopes of winning undecided and independent voters in those states by Election Day.

The vice president will give a speech at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., the park near the White House where Trump rallied supporters on Jan. 6, 2021. Harris will highlight the differences between herself and the former president. The campaign expects nearly 20,000 people, based on the permit application filed with the National Park Service.
According to campaign officials, running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will visit Georgia on Tuesday for early voting events in Savannah and Columbus.
