When and where street parking will be prohibited for the RNC in downtown Milwaukee

Along with tens of thousands of people, including former President Donald Trump, the Republican National Convention will bring numerous road closures and parking restrictions to downtown Milwaukee during the third week of July.

Roads will be closed or restricted in and around the RNC security perimeter near Fiserv Forum, the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena and the Baird Center, which serve as convention venues.

Multiple streets will be closed to street parking during the convention and its set-up and take-down. Here is where and when those restrictions will be enforced.

Where is parking restricted in downtown Milwaukee during the RNC?

Street parking will be prohibited at all times in these locations from Friday, July 5, until Sunday, July 21, for RNC perimeter staging:

  • East Knapp Street from North Water Street to North Market Street

  • East Juneau Street from North Water Street to North Market Street

Street parking will be prohibited at all times in these locations from Monday, July 8, until Sunday, July 21, to accommodate the RNC inner perimeter:

  • West Winnebago Street from North 10th Street to the roundabout

  • West McKinley Street from North 13th Street to North Water Street

  • West Juneau Street from North 7th Street to North Martin Luther King Drive

  • West Highland Avenue from North 7th Street to North Martin Luther King Drive

  • West State Street from North 8th Street to North Water Street

  • West Kilbourn Avenue from North 6th Street to North Water Street

  • West Wells Street from North 8th Street to North Martin Luther King Drive

  • West Wisconsin Avenue from North 7th Street to North Martin Luther King Drive

  • West Michigan Avenue from North 7th Street to North Martin Luther King Drive

  • North 7th Street from West Winnebago Street to West Wisconsin Avenue

  • West Juneau Avenue from North 7th Street to North 10th Street

  • East Wells Street from North Water Street to North Broadway (north side)

  • North Market Street from East Knapp Street to East Juneau Avenue (west side)

  • East Juneau Avenue from North Market Street to North Milwaukee Street (north side)

  • East Highland Avenue from North Water Street to North Broadway (north side)

  • East State Street from North Water Street to North Broadway (north side)

  • East Mason Street from North Water Street to North Broadway (north side)

  • North 10th Street from West Juneau Avenue to West State Street

  • North 10th Street from West Wells Street to West Wisconsin Avenue

Street parking will be prohibited at all times in these locations from Monday, July 15, through Sunday, July 21, to accommodate the RNC outer perimeter:

  • West St. Paul Avenue from North 6th Street to North 12th Street

  • North 6th Street from West Cherry Street to West Walnut Street

  • North 10th Street from West State Street to West Wells Street
