Whisper Hill Clydesdales to celebrate 20th anniversary with fundraiser at The Hive April 27
FOND DU LAC — Local nonprofit Whisper Hill Clydesdales Special Needs is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary in Fond du Lac.
The organization invites the community to its celebration and fundraiser event from noon to 11 p.m. April 27 at The Hive, W4786 State 23.
Whisper Hill Clydesdales Special Needs provides animal-assisted therapy for individuals of all ages with special needs, as well as seniors and veterans, to improve mental, physical, social and emotional functioning.
According to the organization, a strong bond can form between people and animals, and as animals are accepting, non-threatening and non-judgmental, they are easy to open up to. The animals include horses, dogs and farm animals, and therapeutic actions have included walking, brushing, petting and caring for the animal.

The April 27 celebration will include food, kids' games, raffles, a silent auction and appearances of Eden Fire trucks and a ThedaStar helicopter. Weather permitting, the animals will be at the event from 1 to 4 p.m., and tractor wagon rides will be offered from noon to 9 p.m.
Providing live music, the band Road Trip will play from 7 to 10:30 p.m., which will have a $10 cover charge.
