Wisconsin authorities identify 24-year-old killed in two-vehicle crash

HAMBURG, Wis. (WFRV) — The 24-year-old Wisconsin man who died following a two-vehicle crash on Oct. 8 has been identified as Luis Alberto Cerrato Lanzas of Wausau, authorities said.

The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at the intersection of State Highway 107 and County Highway L in the town of Hamburg. One of the drivers was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, while a passenger in the vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver was uninjured.

On Oct. 11, the sheriff’s office confirmed that Cerrato Lanzas, who had been airlifted, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation, and no further details were released.
