Wisconsin Department of Transportation revokes the licenses of four wholesale dealers

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced on Thursday morning that they have revoked the licenses of four wholesale dealers.

According to a release, the four dealers were at 1645 Spring Street #210 in Beaver Dam and are having their licenses revoked due to violating state law after failing to maintain a dealer bond.

Wisconsin law reportedly requires wholesale dealers to carry a security bond to make sure if they do something illegal that a consumer can file a claim against their bond to recoup any money lost. It is mentioned that maintaining a bond is a standard business practice.

Below is a list of the dealers having their licenses revoked:

  • All Auto Dealer, LLC

  • AG Auto Traders, LLC

  • Great Auto 4 U, LLC

  • NM Auto Sales, LLC

These revoked licenses were effective as of July 20, 2024 and while dealers are given 30 days to appeal, no appeals were reportedly received and the decision is final.

WisDOT officcials say Wisconsin has seen a “dramatic increase” in the total number of wholesale dealer licenses and consumer complaits leading to investigations. They add that Wisconsin is one of the few states that offer licences to business owners.
