Wisconsin man arrested after damaging exterior door at high school

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 24-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested Thursday evening after damaging an exterior door at a local high school.

According to a release, officers with the Janesville Police Department discovered damage to the glass in one of the exterior doors at Janesville Craig High School on Sunday, August 25, at around 12:15 p.m. The damage and evidence collected were consistent with a bullet striking the door.

The investigation led to the discovery of a suspect, Dalton D. Talley, 24, of Janesville, who was taken into custody on Thursday. Talley is being held at the Rock County Jail and is awaiting his initial court appearance.

The Janesville Police Department says there is no threat to the public.

Talley was arrested for criminal property damage, possessing a firearm in a school zone, and discharging a firearm in a school zone.

The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details have been provided.
