Wisconsin woman arrested after altercation leads to stabbing with pruning saw
MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A Wisconsin woman was taken into custody on Tuesday after allegedly stabbing another woman with a Fiskars pruning saw.
According to a release, officers with the Madison Police Department were sent to the area of State Street and West Mifflin Street shortly before 9:00 p.m. Monday night for a fight involving a knife.

One of the reporting parties stated to officers that a female involved in the fight was bleeding profusely. Upon arrival, the Madison Police Department found the female victim with significant lacerations from an edged weapon.
While some of the officers rendered aid to the victim, others searched for a suspect, later identified as Alicia Padilla, who fled the scene. The unnamed victim was transported to a nearby hospital for her injuries and is reportedly in stable condition.
Madison Police found a pruning saw nearby and determined that it was Padilla’s weapon in the altercation. Officers believe that Padilla and the victim are known to each other, and the attack with the saw was the result of a disagreement between the two.
Padilla was missing overnight, but officers were able to locate her and take her into custody on Tuesday morning. She was booked into the Dane County Jail on the following charges:
First-Degree Reckless Injury
Substantial Battery
Disorderly Conduct While Armed
Bail Jumping

According to the release, Padilla was also wanted on a probation warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Wisconsin Circuit Court records show that Padilla did not appear in court for the possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.
Padilla has not been officially charged in the alleged stabbing incident.
