Woman accused of stealing $700 in canes from Gentilly Woods business
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is working to identify and arrest a woman who is accused of stealing about $700 worth of canes from a business in the Gentilly Woods neighborhood. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to police, the crime happened around 4:28 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at a Walgreens located in the 4200 block of Chef Menteur Highway. The NOPD released security camera footage from the store that shows much of what happened.

In the video, a woman is seen carrying a bundle of items past the cash register and out of the door. Police say she was carrying about nine canes, worth about $80 each, and didn’t pay for them.
