Woman dies after being hit by passing boat on Willamette River
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman has died after being hit by a boat after falling out of another boat on the Willamette River Saturday evening, authorities say.
Just after 8 p.m., Multnomah County sheriff’s deputies and Portland fire crews responded to the Willamette River near the Hawthorne Bridge.

Officials say the caller reported a woman had fallen off of a boat and was then hit by another passing boat, knocking her unconscious.
She was taken to the hospital, but soon died from her injuries.
MCSO is currently investigating the events leading up to the incident.
No further information, including the identity of the victim, has been released at this time.
