Woman dies after hitting barrier head-on: Local PD

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Cleveland police are investigating a fatal crash that happened on I-90 Eastbound near West 117th at 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

“For unknown reasons, the vehicle drove out of the traffic lane and head-on into a jersey barrier,” police said.

According to police, the vehicle then traveled off the roadway, and up an embankment colliding with a fence.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

The name of the victim has not been released by police at this time.
