Officers were called to the Thirsty Cowboy on Medina Road at about 5:30 p.m. for a report of a woman who was bleeding from her head.
Fans had gathered to see the 71-year-old WWE legend Monday as part of the statewide launch of Hogan’s self-described “premium American-made light lager” dubbed “Real American Beer” (after the lyrics to his theme song), when the incident occurred.
Upon arrival, police made their way through the crowd to a woman being assisted by the country venue staff and her family. They took her outside and EMS was able to dress the wound.
Police said it was not clear, after speaking to various witnesses, who had thrown the can. Some said Hogan threw the beer, while others said it was a member of his team “throwing beers from the stage like a ‘baseball pitch.'” The victim did not see where the beer came from either.
