Woman pleads guilty for selling fentanyl-laced cocaine that led to overdose death

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Kenmore woman has pleaded guilty to a criminally negligent homicide charge in connection to selling fentanyl-laced cocaine that resulted in a fatal overdose in 2023, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.

36-year-old Ashley Holmes admitted to selling the drugs, which led to the death of 47-year-old Robert Chimera on Linden Avenue in Buffalo. She was arrested on Aug. 19, 2023.

During the investigation, a quantity of fentanyl-laced cocaine was found in her bedroom at her residence in Kenmore.

Holme faces up to four years in prison when she is sentenced on Aug. 22. She remains held on bail.
