X Factor star Cher Lloyd opens up on 'scary' health diagnosis amid pregnancy
Cher Lloyd has revealed she felt "scared" and "confused" after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her second pregnancy.
The X Factor star, who is currently expecting her second child with husband Craig Monk, opened up about her diagnosis on Instagram yesterday (August 1) and admitted she "instantly blamed" herself after receiving the call.
"I got the call last week to tell me I had gestational diabetes. I burst into tears. I felt scared, confused and instantly blamed myself," she began.

The 'Swagger Jagger' singer continued: "I’ve spent most of my time researching gestational diabetes and trying to find recipes and ways to control it. I’m still getting used to the changes and how this might affect the rest of my pregnancy.
"I just wanted to reach out to any fellow gestational diabetes mamas out there sharing advise, stories and suggestions. Sending love."
According to the NHS, gestational diabetes is high blood sugar that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after giving birth.

Cher and Craig wed back in 2013 and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Delilah-Rae, back in May 2018.
Despite being married at the time, Cher revealed in 2020 that record label bosses wanted her to partake in a fake celebrity relationship in order to boost her career.
"Sadly it still happens. That's still happening in this day and age — that it's still OK to try to make a young girl do something like that," she said.
The star continued: "I was never going to be that girl. I write music, I release music and I don't have the hidden agendas. It's not my thing to do a publicity stunt, it's messy, I'm not interested. Plus, I was married."
