Yellowjackets star "in shock" as she announces pregnancy
Yellowjackets star Samantha Hanratty has shared her "shock" at becoming pregnant.
The actor, best known for playing the teenage version of Misty Quigley on the series, revealed the happy news that she is expecting with husband Christian DeAnda on Instagram, sharing a real-time reaction to learning that she will be having a baby.
In the clip, she initially tries out a pregnancy test, emotionally sharing that it is negative. However, after trying again the following week, it comes out positive.

"No, no, no, no, no, no f**king way! No f**king way!" she exclaims after seeing the result.
The clip then cuts to a scan of her growing baby, captioned with the words: "Yes way."
Writing in the comments, Samantha said: "Still in shock and its been 4 months! I will be sharing more from my journey because it has been a wild one! Come follow this new adventure #pregnant #pregnancytest #fyp."

The star has since received a host of congratulatory messages, with Yellowjackets co-star Nuha Jes Izman (Crystal) writing: "The most beautiful, amazing, best mama cannot wait to smush you and baby’s face (and Christian too haha)."
Melanie Lynskey (Shauna Shipman) wrote: "Love you," while Too Hot To Handle star Francesca Farago added: "So happy for you."
Yellowjackets is currently prepping for its third season, with production on the next set of episodes beginning a few months ago.

Speaking ahead of filming, Hanratty expressed keenness to get back to work, telling TheWrap: "I want to get back there so bad. I want to start filming.
"I want to read these scripts. I want to know what the heck is going to happen. I have so many hopes of what's going to happen, but I have no idea."
Yellowjackets airs on Showtime in the US and Paramount+ in the UK.
