YSL Woody Admits Lying To Police About Young Thug Committing Crimes
The YSL RICO case has had more twists and turns than a Mario Kart racetrack. The latest came with YSL Woody admitting that he lied to the police about Young Thug committing crimes.
“This is what happened,” Woody said when he took the stand Aug. 12. “OK. The police kept locking me up for whatever they could. Every time I come out the door, the police was on me, and they keep bringing up Thug’s name. So what I did was to get ’em off me, I said, ‘Thug did this. Thug did that. Thug,’ because I knew they were—I knew he didn’t do it.”
The witness did not believe that the police would arrest Thugger because of who he was. “In my mind, I knew that the police would never go mess with him [Young Thug],” he claimed. “So it was easy for me to try to throw the blame off on him, to get them off of me. And that’s what I was doing from all these years. I don’t remember what I done told them in the past, but my whole motive was Thug did it because I knew he didn’t do it, and they couldn’t lock him up.”
YSL Woody’s also claimed authorities mentioned Young Thug quite a bit in their interactions. “They keep talking about ‘Thug, Thug, Thug, Thug, Thug,’” he recalled. “So guess what I’m going to tell them? ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah’. What else you want me to tell them? Yeah. He killed this person. Yeah, he did that. That’s what I’m going to do.”
Woody’s chirping did not stop there, either. He claimed that the state prosecution pressured him to appear in court during the trial, even though they knew he wasn’t being honest.
Outside of the drama from this trial, fans were treated to new Thug music recently. He appeared on Drake’s “It‘s Up” alongside 21 Savage. It marked his first collaboration with the 6 God in over a year, and his second collaboration of 2024 with 21, following “Pop Ur Sh*t” from his January album American Dream.
