Announcing a pregnancy has become an art form. You can deliver the news with a cookie cake, or a pair of baby shoes or even a collection of coke bottles. Byron and Daria Brown decided to let their 1-year-old, Alexandria, do the sharing for them with an adorable to-do list that Byron posted on Reddit, entitled: “I know it was hacky, but this is how we announced my wife’s pregnancy.”

The to-do list had a number of line items: Enter the world? Check. Steal hearts? No problem. Learn to Crawl? Learn to Walk? Done and done.
Become a big sister? Alexandria will cross off her latest task around 4/18/2015, according to the adorable photo.

“We were looking to do something fun for the birth announcement. My wife came across a couple of ideas online and we came up with something we liked,” Brown tells Yahoo Parenting about his clever announcement. “Alexandria did not really know what was going on. I am sure she just assumed it was yet another photo dad wanted to take of her.” But Brown says his family and friends loved the photo, which they shared via text, email and Instagram.
