Father Accomplishes Dream With Daughter, New Video Shows
Augie Nieto was able to fulfill a dream that many fathers take for granted: Walking his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day. Now, new video from CBSLA.com provides a touching look back on that unforgettable day.
Nieto was diagnosed with ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, shortly before his daughter, Lindsay, became engaged, CBSLA.com reports.

“Walking Lindsay down the aisle and being able to look her in the eye was a huge moment for me,” Nieto says. “Lindsay made me feel loved, and no matter what I did, it would be OK.”
It took months of hard work for Nieto, who is paralyzed and unable to eat and breathe on his own, to accomplish his goal.
