Hilarious Mom Parody of Taylor Swift's 'Shake It Off'
Exhausted moms juggling rowdy kids, judgmental neighbors, and their own high standards will definitely relate to the latest take on Taylor Swift’s hit “Shake It Off.” With lyrics like, “But I keep carpooling/Worrying about their schooling/It’s like I’ve got this nagging, in my mind, saying you’re not doing it right,” and “Kids are gonna play, play, play, play, play/And in-laws gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate,” the hilarious parody, "Knock It Off,” got more than 32,000 views in its first 24 hours online. Deva Dalporto, star and creator of the video, is the mom of two behind other viral mom parodies, including "I Just Need Some Space” (a take on Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass”), “I’m So Cranky” (Iggy Azalea’s “I’m So Fancy”) and, of course, her own mom-centric version of "Let It Go.”

This summer, NBC Bay Area called Dalporto — who blogs about motherhood on her site My Life Suckers — the “Weird Al of YouTube Moms.” And that, Dalporta writes, was the “the best compliment ever.”

“I tried to be so perfect as a parent and it was impossible — so I thought, why not let it go and have some fun?” Dalporto told NBC. “Parenting is crazy and you have to laugh it out or you’ll go insane.”
Our favorite lyric of her latest hit? “And the fella over there with the judgmental stare, won’t you come and take the baby? Take, take, take.”
