Kourtney Kardashian Reveals Rare Baby Name
Kourtney Kardashian has revealed the name of her third baby: Reign.
It seems fitting, given that partner Scott Disick often goes by “Lord Disick” and often styles himself as British royalty.
According to Nameberry.com, only 122 kids were given the name in 2013. Interestingly, 97 of those babies were girls, while 25 were boys like Kardashian’s.

Reign was born on his big bother Mason’s fifth birthday, Dec. 14.

His middle name, Aston, is an “English place name with several possible origins,” Nameberry.com reports. The site speculates it could have something to do with the British sports car favored by James Bond, Aston Martin. Fans of the Kardashian reality show know Disick is enamored with luxury cars.
Nameberry.com says that Reign is the rarest baby name chosen by Kardashian and Disick.

Mason was the 34th most popular name for boys when Kardashian’s son was born. But the following year, it landed considerably higher: No. 4.
Kardashian’s second child, daughter Penelope, was not in the 100 top baby names for girls when she was born in 2012. The following year, the name ranked No. 56.
It remains to be seen if Reign will see a spike in popularity this year and next, but if past trends are any indication, you may be seeing many more babies with the name in 2015.
