The Brooklyn Nets are weeks away from beginning the first year of their rebuild that will probably not get a lot of media coverage outside of New York. There was a time where Brooklyn was one of the main talking points when it came to the NBA because of the franchise's sudden rise to prominence a few years ago.

Wednesday brought one of the biggest news day in the NBA in recent memory, but the news had nothing to do with a player. ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, one of the most influential insiders in sports media, announced on X that he was retiring from sports media to be the general manager for his alma mater, St. Bonaventure.

Wojnarowski made his name known in the NBA world through his work with Yahoo Sports! and most recently with ESPN as their leading insider for NBA news.
