Rap superstar Drake, who has strong ties to Memphis, is highlighting the Memphis Tigers as part of his fashion brand's next collection.

October's Very Own has partnered with the NCAA on a new line of "limited-edition" apparel, the fashion brand announced on social media Tuesday. Alongside Memphis, the clothing line will feature the Kentucky Wildcats, Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide and North Carolina Tar Heels.

The collection is scheduled to become available Sept. 29, according to October's Very Own's post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Although he was raised by his mother in the Forest Hill section of Toronto, Drake's Memphis roots run deep. His father is Memphis drummer Dennis Graham (who played with Jerry Lee Lewis, among others), and his uncles include Sly and the Family Stone bassist Larry Graham and late Hi Rhythm guitarist Mabon “Teenie” Hodges. Drake spent many summers growing up with his father in the Bluff City.

Drake visited Memphis in June. Sporting a pair of "Memphis State" throwback basketball shorts, he filmed his part of Young Thug's "Oh U Went" music video at Railgarten. He was also presented with an honorary key to Shelby County by Shelby County Commission Chairman Mickell Lowery.

Drake was scheduled to perform at FedExForum in June. It was postponed until August, before eventually being canceled. It would have been his first concert in Memphis since 2012.
