Fans hunt for Arizona Coyotes gear donated by team to Goodwill stores
It’s Christmas in July for fans hoping to snag Arizona Coyotes gear at local thrift stores.
After the franchise ceased operations in April, fans questioned what would happen to all the merchandise. One of the answers came when a video surfaced on Thursday of a reseller finding multiple jerseys at a local Goodwill.
According to Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports, the Coyotes donated everything in storage to Goodwill and bought back any unsold product from the team store at Mullett Arena. Goodwill, which was a major sponsor of the Coyotes, distributed the merchandise to several locations around the East and West Valley.
This news sparked a scavenger hunt for fans hoping to secure unworn merchandise, including the famous Kachina jerseys.
