288 athletes will compete for a medal in wrestling at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including 16 men and women representing the Unites States. In past Olympic competitions, Team USA athletes have secured 142 medals, including 57 golds, in the sport.

Wrestling at the Olympics is broken out into three categories, Men's Freestyle, Women's Freestyle, and the men-only Greco-Roman, and within those, athletes are subdivided into six weight classes with medals available in 18 total events. The U.S. Olympic Wrestling team has sixteen athletes competing on the roster at the Paris Games, including Helen Maroulis, the first U.S. female wrestler to win Olympic gold (and the oldest woman to wrestle at any Olympics) and 2016 Olympic Men's Freestyle champion Kyle Snyder.

Who is competing in Wrestling at the 2024 Olympics?

16 wrestlers compete in each of the 18 wrestling categories, which means there is a total of 288 wrestlers vying for medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. 61 nations are represented in the Olympic Wrestling this year, and the U.S. has the most wrestlers, with 16, followed by China and Japan with 13 each, and Azerbaijan with 12.
