Joel Embiid reacts to Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani making MLB history

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is an avid fan of athletes in other sports. He takes his time watching other athletes across the sports spectrum and has always given his respect where it's due.

On Thursday, Embiid--along with the rest of the sports world--was in awe of what Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani was able to accomplish in a 20-4 win over the Miami Marlins in South Florida. Ohtani hit three home runs in the route which gave him 51 on the season and he also stole two bases giving him 51 on the season.

Ohtani is the first player in MLB history to have 50+ home runs and 50+ stolen bases in a single season. Embiid took to Twitter to give his reaction to the feat.

Ohtani will go down as one of the best players in baseball history. Not only is he an elite hitter, but he was also one helluva pitcher before suffering an elbow injury that held him out from pitching in 2024. Embiid and the rest of the sports world just have to give respect to him.
