Miami Dolphins nominees for Pro Football Hall of Fame: Ricky Williams, Richmond Webb
Running back Ricky Williams and offensive tackle Richmond Webb head a list of seven players with strong connections to the Miami Dolphins on the list of 167 modern-era players nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 announced Wednesday.
Other players who spent a significant portion of their careers in Miami are cornerback Troy Vincent, a current NFL vice president, punter Matt Turk and three receivers: Irving Fryar, Brandon Marshall and Wes Welker, the current Dolphins receivers coach.

Other nominees include Palm Beach County’s Anquan Boldin, a receiver, and Vince Wilfork, a defensive tackle.
Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake, who had 100.5 sacks in his NFL career, last played in 2019 and will not be eligible until next year.
A screening committee will reduce the list to 50 next month. The Class of 2025 will be announced during Super Bowl week and consist of three to five modern-era players.
