Kress and Nazareth each had players honored on the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 1A all-state baseball team.

Kangaroos senior shortstop Dillon Morphis earned second-team honors on the team.

For Nazareth, senior third baseman Will Young was honored on the second team.

Morphis hit .424 with 10 doubles, 15 RBIs and a .545 on-base percentage.

Young hit an even .500 with 16 runs, six doubles, two triples, one home run and 16 RBIs and was an impressive 14 of 16 in steal attempts.
