Pro Bowl lineman Orlando Brown Jr.: Joe Burrow's 'focus and will is on another level'

Cincinnati Bengals left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. joined The Enquirer’s Bengals Beat Podcast for a live episode at the Freestore Foodbank on Friday.

Brown discussed a number of topics ranging from his childhood to how he ended up in Cincinnati last year. The Pro Bowl offensive lineman has blocked for some of the NFL's best quarterbacks in his career, including Baltimore's Lamar Jackson, Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes and now Joe Burrow in Cincinnati.

So, when Brown talks about quarterbacks, he knows what high-level play is. He had high praise for Burrow.

“To me, I just think it starts with No. 9,” Brown said on the Bengals Beat Podcast. “I haven’t been here prior so I can’t really speak on prior to last year, but this is the most motivated quarterback I’ve seen. When you have a quarterback focused like he is, determined, it doesn’t do anything but intensify the approach in practice, the way the coaches script practice and the way the defense practices, all of those things. His focus and will right now is on another level. I feel like that’s the uniqueness that really sticks out."

In addition to discussing expectations for this year’s team, Brown Jr. also opened up about losing his father, Orlando Brown Sr., and the impact he’s had on his career.
