It’s time to vote for the Mississippi Coast football Athlete of the Week for September 3
Now is your chance to vote for athlete of the week following another Friday night of district play around the Coast. The full top performers list can be found here.
This week’s football players are nominated from Bay High, D’Iberville, Gautier, George County, Pascagoula, St. Stanislaus and Vancleave.
This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like until voting ends at noon Friday, Sept. 6, at sunherald.com.

Avery Harris, Bay High: Harris was everywhere for the Tigers, catching five passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns on offense and recording 12 tackles, four tackles for loss and a forced fumble in the 34-3 win over Resurrection.
Jayquan Havard, D’Iberville: Havard rushed for 155 yards and one touchdown in the Warriors 51-15 win over Columbia.
Brayden Jackson, Gautier: Jackson picked up 14 tackles, four tackles for loss, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup in a 26-23 win over Harrison Central.
Deuce Knight, George County: Knight completed eight of 10 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for another 86 yards in the 33-7 win over East Central.
Junior Brown, Long Beach: Brown ran for 125 yards and two touchdowns in the 28-21 win over Pass Christian.
Silas Corder, Pascagoula: Corder completed 11 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns. Also ran for a score and set the school’s all-time career passing yards record in the Panthers’ 48-0 win over Moss Point.
Kevin Marshall, St. Martin: Marshall debuted at quarterback a perfect 8-for-8 for 80 yards and a touchdown. Also ran for 113 yards and another score in a 24-14 win over Vancleave.
