Upstate's top performers in second round of high school football playoffs

Here are the Upstate’s top performers from the second round of the South Carolina high school football playoffs.

Justin Lathon, Belton-Honea Path: Lathon ran 30 times for 177 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-28 win against Pendleton.

Noah Thomas, Belton-Honea Path: Thomas completed 9 of 11 passes for 130 yards.

Tre Segura, Byrnes: Segura ran for 172 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries in a 27-24 loss to Hillcrest.

Andrew Stevens, Byrnes: Stevens passed for 227 yards and a touchdown.

Armoni Weaver, Byrnes: Weaver had 87 yards and a touchdown on three catches.

Jake Good, Christ Church: Good had 11 tackles, including two sacks, in a 43-21 win against McBee.

Tucker Hendrix, Christ Church: Hendrix completed 9 of 12 passes for 270 yards and four touchdowns.

Jackson Repp, Christ Church: Repp was targeted five times and had four catches for 182 yards and three touchdowns.

Jaden McDowell, Gaffney: McDowell ran for 84 yards on 16 carries in a 24-12 win against Clover.

Riley Staton, Gaffney: Staton passed for 192 yards (10-for-19) and two touchdowns.

Mazeo Bennett, Greenville: Bennett set up the game-winning field goal for Greenville’s 24-21 win at Greer with a run to get into field goal range in the final seconds. He had seven catches for 89 yards and had four rushes for 42 yards and a score.

Lang Steck, Greenville: Steck made a 27-yard field goal with four seconds left to put Greenville in the third round of the playoffs. He made all three of his extra points.

Kylar Zimmerman, Greenville: Zimmerman rushed 13 times for 78 yards and a touchdown.

Chase Byrd, Greer: Byrd caught six passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. His biggest catch was on defense as he made an interception in the end zone.

Ladainnian Martin, Greer: Martin ran for 194 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in a 24-21 loss to Greenville. He also had a touchdown catch.

Adam Grudko, Hillcrest: Grudko made two field goals, including the game-winner in overtime.

Avery McFadden, Hillcrest: McFadden had five catches for 146 yards and a touchdown. He also threw a TD pass.

Kalab Sutton, Hillcrest: Sutton returned from missing a game with injury and passed for 250 yards (10-for-19) with a touchdown.

Keyshun Henderson, J.L. Mann: Henderson had an interception return for a J.L. Mann’s first score in a 17-7 win against Spartanburg. On offense, he had four catches for 50 yards.

Brayden Johnson, St. Joseph's: Johnson ran for 79 yards on 18 carries and scored the only touchdown in a 7-0 win against Lewisville.
