Here are the finalists for Upstate high school football athlete of the week for the first round of playoffs. Players are listed in alphabetical order. Voting will end at noon Wednesday.
Kamajay Brackett-Brannon, Broome: He ran 16 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns while also completing 14 of 19 passes for 162 yards and a TD in a 42-35 win against Seneca.
Thomas Stanley, Hillcrest: Stanley ran 39 times and set a single-game school record for the Rams with 248 yards and also scored three touchdowns. Stanley broke a record set in 1981.
Andrew Stevens, Byrnes: Stevens completed 15 of 20 passes for 356 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a T 44-17 over Dorman
Lee Turnipseed, Daniel: Turnipseed completed 10 of 12 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown while also running for two TDs and 47 yards on seven carries in a 49-2 win against Blue Ridge.
Cutter Woods, Westside: Woods completed 15 of 18 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-0 win against Airport. He also ran for a TD.
