Let’s face it, Diesel hasn’t been cool for quite some time. The Italian brand has recycled through a handful of designers, strayed from its denim core, and gone in quite a few different directions. The brand has been working with one of fashion’s favorite stylists since Andreas Melbostad first collection in Fall 2013 and presented a cohesive collection that cool girl will actually want to wear. Here’s why:
1. An all-black collection is easy to digest—and wear. Plus, the girls looked like cool rockabilly chicks with gelled back quiffs.
2. It was 2015 version of the ’90s version of ’60s rockabilly and who doesn’t love nostalgia?
3. You can wear everything in the collection with jeans!
4. The show’s music was great, remixed by fashion’s favorite superstar DJ, Michel Gaubert, and the kind of thing you’d want to dance to in these clothes.
5. Marie-Amelie Sauve—former French Vogue editor, best friend to Nicolas Ghesquiere—styled the collection, making black on black look hotter than ever.
