All About Amy Schumer's Sexy 'Cool Girl' Makeup at the Globes
If we could pick our favorite table at Sunday’s Golden Globes, we’d probably go with Amy Schumer and her Snatched mom Goldie Hawn. The two cracked each other up, both during the show and while presenting.
But there wasn’t much to laugh about when it came to Schumer’s radiant, dewy look at the Globes. She went for beachy waves and clean, glowing skin.
The makeup was courtesy of her ten-year artist, Andrea Tiller, who used Sisley and Glossier products on Schumer. Two of her go-tos: Sisley’s black rose cream mask and eye contour mask. As for her lips, she used one of our faves: Glossier’s Rose Balm Dotcom.
Picture this: there’s music playing. She’s getting her nails and hair done at the same time as Tiller works on her face. And given that the two are friends in real life, “it’s catching up. We hadn’t seen each other since New Year’s Eve so we had a lot to catch up on. It’s like having girlfriends in the room. She’s really happy in life so that helps.”
Getting Schumer ready is about as much fun as you’d imagine.
“It’s such a relaxed vibe. She trusts us. She’s down for anything. For every important awards show, we have a powwow and email back and forth. We connect with the stylist. It’s a group effort. This time, I decided to go with warm honey tones on her eyes, neutral golds and amber tones to give it a natural tone,” Tiller tells YAHOO Beauty.
Her dress was a sexy, black Alexander Wang, so Tiller had free reign to go as wild as she wanted. “With a black dress, anything goes,” she says, opting to make Schumer’s eye pop with Sisley’s So Intense mascara. “I wanted to give her a cool girl vibe.”
Which meant highlighting Schumer’s peaches and cream complexion using one of Tiller’s go-tos: the Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été, a gentle bronzing gel-powder. “Her skin is one of my favorite features. I try to make it as flawless as I can. I used a little less coverage than I’m used to on her. It was just about making it glowing and beautiful and bringing out her eyes. I did less eye makeup and lashes this time. She just wanted to feel natural and beautiful and glowy,” says Tiller.
Of course, other stars can wax poetic — or whine — about getting ready for a red carpet. Not Schumer. She realizes just how, ahem, challenging red-carpet prep can be.
Getting ready is so harddsdddd! I have to sit here and breathe #goldenglobes

“For that shot, I was just testing out the lights. I asked if I could I take a couple of pictures. She asked if I could send her one. And then she posted it,” says Tiller.
