Kylie Jenner Takes the Plunge, Has 'Amazing' and Sexy Night
Justin Theroux stars in HBO’s The Leftovers and is an in-demand screenwriter.
But should the acting thing ever get old, Jennifer Aniston’s hubby could start a second career as a stylist.
He’s the one who got Aniston’s BFF and longtime hair guru Chris McMillan ready for Tuesday’s Image Makers Awards, hosted by Marie Claire. Aniston presented the prize, calling McMillan “the sister I never had.”
McMillan echoed her sentiments and noted in his acceptance speech that his actress buddy has “stood by his side” and invited him to the party “over and over and over again.” Prior to taking the stage to receive his acknowledgement, the hair aficionado told Yahoo Style that he and Aniston got ready for the event together at her home, with an assist from Theroux.
“He was like ‘Sit down!’ and he pretended he was me,” revealed McMillan. “He groomed my face a little bit and said, ‘We need to clean your cheeks off.’ He trimmed it up and shaved my chin.” McMillan explained that his glam session was extremely playful and filled with lots of laughs between the trio, which helped calm his nerves about preparing to be in front of the camera for the night. Plus, Theroux played fashion designer.
“He styled me a little bit. He loaned me his tie bar. He loaned me his cufflinks. He was awesome!” he exclaimed.
Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing was recognized with the ICON Award for his work in the fashion industry. When asked about his favorite celeb to dress at the moment, the French designer flashed a grin and said, “You’re going to see tonight. She’s coming in a few minutes.”
In walked Kylie Jenner, who was rocking a feisty purple Balmain dress from the line’s latest resort collection. “I told you! She is the Balmain girl!” Rousteing cooed. Jenner twirled for the cameras in her racy frock and told Yahoo Style that Rousteing “is amazing!”
Jessica Alba, who introduced her favorite makeup artist and Honest Beauty consultant Daniel Martin, shared that she too has had major beauty hiccups.
“The first time we worked together was a Nina Ricci show for Paris Fashion week. I will never forget it because I was really jet-lagged and had really puffy eyes,” she explained. “He busted out these cold balls. He had this smile on his face, and these balls, and he like balled my eyes until they shrunk. I was like, ‘Oh my God! you are like a magician!’”
And Elizabeth Olsen thanked her “dream team” aka hairstylist Mark Townsend and makeup artist Kate Lee. Guess who was in the audience? The date to her first high school ball.
“Mark did my hair for my first dance,” she explained. “And my date to that dance was my best friend in the world who I’ve known since infancy and has been Mark’s assistant for the last three years.” Someone in the crowd promptly pointed out the boy and everyone cheered as his face turned a happy shade of red.
Concealer, anyone?
