All About the 2015 Met Ball Lineup

This just in! We're excited to announce that Yahoo Style is the official lead sponsor of the Costume Institute’s Exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which opens next May! This year’s benefit co-chairs include Jennifer Lawrence, Gong Li, Marissa Mayer, Wendi Murdoch, Vogue’s Anna Wintour, and honorary chair, Silas Chou. The opening night gala, more commonly known as the Met Ball, raises millions for the museum and has been the highlight of New York City’s social calendar since 1946. Mark your calendars for the May 4th affair to see the who’s who of fashion, film, and society break out their best red carpet finery to celebrate this year's exhibition, "Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film, and Fashion," which will be curated by The Met's Andrew Bolton with artisitic director Wong Kong Wai. “From the earliest period of European contact with China in the 16th century, the West has been enchanted with enigmatic objects and imagery from the East, providing inspiration for fashion designers from Paul Poiret to Yves Saint Laurent, whose fashions are infused at every turn with fantasy, romance, and nostalgia,” says Bolton.
