Kate Middleton's Floral-in-Winter Look Is Right on Point
Kate Middleton delivered a joint speech with Prince William and Prince Harry in support of mental health charity, Heads Together, at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London on Tuesday morning. For the appearance, she wore a $2,500 long-sleeve, figure-hugging floral dress by designer Erdem. She completed the cold-weather look with Tod’s Fringed Leather Pumps and a Mulberry clutch.
Long revered for her classy and sophisticated on-trend style, the Duchess of Cambridge is not the first public figure to step out in florals — a pattern typically reserved for spring — during the winter. Amal Clooney also recently made a floral style statement while out with her husband, actor George Clooney, at the premiere of the Netflix documentary The White Helmets in London.
The Lebanese-British lawyer wore the chic Dolce & Gabbana sheath with black textured tights and ankle boots, styling her hair in loose waves, while her husband stuck with an all-black look.
Amal clearly loves this minidress; she was also spotted in it in Oct. 2015, accessorizing it with a red coat and Dolce & Gabbana thigh-high stocking boots.
Another member of the celeb set, actress Gabrielle Union, recently wore a multicolored floral minidress for an appearance on Good Morning America to promote the upcoming season of her BET series, Being Mary Jane.
To stay warm in the freezing New York City weather, the actress wore a sleek black coat over the button-down frock.
And actress Hayden Panettiere also went with a flower print for her recent appearance on Good Morning America. The 27-year-old wore a bright red-and-white floral dress with a black coat and nude Louboutin pumps.
All three looks make the case for a floral winter trend!
