Ellen Barkin wore one of the most perfectly tailored column dresses ever made. She accessorized the simple gown with a necklace made with many silver orbs and plenty of bangles.

It was her night and she dressed how she wanted to! Miley Cyrus, who was recognized at amfAR’s sixth annual Inspiration Gala for her work in the fight against AIDS, wore a custom Moschino gown fittingly covered in Keith Haring-esque hearts. Breaking convention, as per usual, the singer paired her couture dress with Doc Martens made just for her to match. Cyrus, who recently launched the Happy Hippie Foundation, matched her hair with the ensemble with a very punk side braid with red glitter lining her part. As her date, the 22-year-old brought Tyler Ford, a queer, biracial, agender person, whose pronouns are they/them/theirs, who was recently featured on Cyrus’ Instagram page, and presented Cyrus with her award. The recent artwork she created of Caitlyn Jenner was also auctioned off to support the charity.

Andreja Pejic, who stunned on the red carpet in a little black dress, applauded Miley Cyrus for her work. “I think she is using her celebrity in a positive way and to … create some change,” Pejic said. “It’s nice to see and I don’t think a lot of celebrities do that. … She’s a very genuine person and you can definitely see that she’s very excited for this opportunity and the charity and so it’s really amazing to see.”

Sandra Bernhard attended the 2015 amfAR Inspiration Gala New York at Spring Studios with her friend Andy Cohen, who was being honored for his charitable work. “Andy wasn’t ready for his philanthropic work until those Real Houswives,” she said as she presented him with the award wearing a Marc Bouwer dress covered in butterflies.

A longtime supporter of the charity (she also performed at their Cannes event), Mary J. Blige headlined the event. Wearing a form-fitting LBD with illusion neckline, the artist sang her hit “Real Love,” which got the audience up dancing.

The young starlet looked all grown up in a Donna Karan gown. The cut of the dress might’ve been simple, but the it let Justice herself shine through.

Laverne Cox switched it up for the amfAR gala and wore an undeniably sexy Michael Costelo gown. The dress not only featured a thigh-high slit that rivaled Angelina Jolie’s but a keyhole and cutouts as well.

There are few women in the world that can wear a long-sleeve, floor-length Pucci dress but model Anja Rubik did it fearlessly — and had a litle fun, too!

The dress might’ve gone down Givenchy’s Spring 2015 runway with leather pants underneath, but it’s hot in New York so Smalls made some improvisations. A big fan of Olivier Rousteing, the model looked amazing in the black and white mini.

“I just want to tell my parents, I hope that this makes them proud,” Miley Cyrus said to Billy Ray Cyrus and wife Tish Cyrus during her acceptance speech.

Taylor Hill might be a Victoria’s Secret model, but she was all covered up in a classy Ralph Lauren dress. The white dress with mock neck and belt was vamped up with a dark lip and her hair slicked into side part and pulled into a ponytail.

The model who attended the event with Calvin Klein’s Francisco Costa, was angelic in an ivory silk V-neck dress from the Pre-Fall 2015 collection. She also carried a Calvin Klein Collection gold metal box clutch.

The socialite who uses her impressive closet of clothes to support charity was one of the best dressed of the night in an eye-catching Tom Ford gown.

The “All Hands on Deck” singer dressed like a disco ball at amfAR’s sixth annual Inspiration Gala. She tempered the mini dress with suede lace-up heels, zero accessories, and her hair pulled up into a topknot.

Heidi Klum was uncharacteristically covered up in a mid-length black dress. Usually one to flaunt her legs and show a lot of skin, the more demure look was a welcome red carpet switch up — she still looks hot!

Wek was the picture of cool in a marine leather/perforated detail tank dress and leather belt from the Spring 2015 Calvin Klein Collection.
